Dental Implants
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants themselves are small titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These metal anchors act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jaw bone. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts are then attached to the implant which protrude through the gums. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. We have received extensive training in Implantology and have been successfully placing implants since 1985 and through continuing education, are abreast of the most current information on implant dentistry.
Implants are a team effort among your periodontist, restorative dentist and you. Once the implants are in place, they will serve you well for many years if you take care of them and keep your mouth healthy. This means taking the time for good oral hygiene (brushing and flossing) and keeping regular appointments with your dental specialists. 
Evaluation
If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is an option for you, we ask that you undergo a dental and radiographic examination and health history. Our newest technology includes a 3-D cone beam CAT scan evaluation to determine your bone quality and quantity. During these consultation visits, we will assess your specific needs and considerations and carefully explain the entire process to you. Your questions and concerns are important to us and we are happy to answer them all. Our entire staff will work with you to help make your implant experience here a success. We develop treatment plans and work closely with your dentist who will be making the crowns or dentures that will be supported by the implants to ensure you the best possible result. We will also discuss fees and dental benefits at this time. There are many types of dental insurance plans, and coverage for dental implants is varied. We will be happy to assist you in obtaining any benefits to which you may be entitled.
