Meet Trang N. Salzberg


Dr. Trang N. Salzberg was born in Saigon, Vietnam and grew up in Springfield, Virginia since she was nine years old. She was graduated from the University of Virginia in 1993, obtained a Masters degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997 in Biochemistry, and then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 2001. She continued her education in a General Practice Residency Program in Palo Alto, CA from 2001-2002. She returned to the Medical College of Virginia where she received her Certificate of Periodontics with a Masters degree in 2005. She joined Konikoff Salzberg Periodontics in 2005.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Tidewater Dental Association, the Virginia Beach Study Club, the Women’s Dental Network, the Academy of Southern Periodontology, and is a co-founding member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning study club. Dr. Salzberg was published in the June 2006 issue of the Journal of Periodontology for her work on C-Reactive Protein levels in patients with aggressive periodontitis. She focuses on all aspects of periodontics including surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies, periodontal plastic surgery, guided tissue and bone regeneration, and placement of dental implants. She resides in Virginia Beach with her son and enjoys exercising, practicing Tae Kwon Do, and playing golf.
