Gingivectomy
Sometimes excess tissues are present due to gingival (“gum”) inflammation or medications you are taking. We perform a procedure called a gingivectomy to eliminate the excess gum tissues to help develop proper proportions between the width and height of the teeth as well as ease of oral hygiene accessibility.

I was extremely happy that I was scheduled as quickly as I was. The dental hygienist was extremely kind and very sympathetic when she had to give me a Novacaine shot. Dr. Konikoff did an excellent job and I am very happy with the results.

This appointment was for my daughter who is leaving for college. Her orthodontist recommended the gingivectomy last week and we appreciate so much that you worked to fit us in before she left. We received great care as always at this office.
