Meet Justin M Hoag DMD, MS
Dr. Justin Hoag is from Chesapeake, Virginia. He graduated cum laude from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2009 with a degree in Biology and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2013.
Following graduation, Dr. Hoag was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps, first serving as a general dentist for the Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia. In 2018, he graduated from residency in the U.S. Army Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at Fort Gordon, Georgia, with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Periodontics. After completing his residency, he served as Chief of Periodontics for the Fort Drum, New York, Dental Health Activity, where he treated the Soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division and was promoted to Major. Dr. Hoag proudly served his country for 8 years before leaving the Army and returning to Hampton Roads to serve the community where he grew up.
Dr. Hoag is Board Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery and practices all aspects of periodontal and implant therapy. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified.
Dr. Hoag lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Melinda, and their son. They enjoy going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
